I don't think the age thing necessarily holds, or if it does, it's more
complicated. He got the same % of 18-29 year olds as 2016, and noticeably increased support from 30-44 year olds. He lost votes in the 45+ range.
I'm sure there are people who will never vote R because of Trump, but it's unclear what the effect is going forward. The increase with younger voters could be unique to Trump, the virus environment, more disaffection with the establishment, any number of things.
