Now it’s my turn to say this is my last post in this thread. But largely because I think you and Hooda are beyond ridiculous. As accentuated by this - the FDA is not about public health? It’s whole mission is public health. Ergo, they are “public health officials”. You felt a need to push back against that characterization?

Trump said himself, in his own words, linked for Hooda above, in September, that he held open the possibility of overruling FDA standards if he deemed them to be too tough. He said that. That’s what Harris pushed back against.

She used Fauci specifically - she would look to his guidance rather than Trump’s. Which is smart. Very good advice for the country. If she felt that Trump was cutting the FDA off at the knees as he was threatening, she would look to the nation’s leading expert on infectious diseases for guidance, not a snake oil selling reality TV host.

Basically she was saying to the country “if Fauci says it’s ok, it’s ok, I’ll take it and you should too”. If only that spirit informed Trump’s pandemic policies from the start, we might actually be talking about a second Trump term, instead of watching Trumpies pathetically air false grievances against the new VP elect.
