already universal, and in grocery stores, drug stores, etc that is pretty true from my perspective in South Florida (although I've heard mask usage in places like the Dakotas is FAR from universal), but one you get inside a restaurant or bar, masks are not worn (for obvious reasons). I do a lot of carry out and the restaurants and bars are alarmingly crowded nowadays. No, not all are trumpers and a lot are probably people who have said "fuck it, I'm tired of Covid and I'm going to eat at a restaurant, or going to drink at a bar", but I think the president has created a very nonchalant, cavalier attitude towards covid among roughly half the country. There's no way that doesn't make the spread worse.
