I think this is good if .....

it leads to more conversations around it.

On the surface, that seemed like it was a politically incorrect joke (I know ... I know ... the term politically incorrect has been turned into the devil). Just keep talking about it. Just keep the conversation going. Let's hear from those who were offended. Let's hear more from the professor. Keep the conversations going together to keep learning alive. I am looking at you UVA.
