Do you remember his bizarre, almost comical run for the White House?

He was certainly well on his way down the bozo the clown path by 2007. And let's be clear: he responded to 9-11 by doing what he does best, being a camera whore. It worked for him in that moment, but he didn't really do anything remarkable other than pose for photo ops with his bullhorn. And by most counts, outside of using 9-11 as a chance to self-promote it doesn't seem like he was much of a mayor. He was an authoritarian, probably racist dick when he was mayor too and I don't dish out many points for heavy handed overpolicing -- which really was his legacy.
