Democracy depends heavily on a reasonably well informed electorate. Part of that is sharing common understandings. That doesn’t exist in this country. Trump didn’t cause it - he’s a product of it. But he exploits it like nobody else.

So, our democracy is sick. While there’s a lot I don’t like about the dem party, I agree with Boca that it’s the better pro-democracy choice, when so much of the other openly supported or stood by idly as election fraud disinformation spread.
