truther conspiracies. Believers, some of whom are otherwise intelligent people, will latch onto the most outlandish claims and ignore all evidence to the contrary. The fact that someone like Hoodafan is still repeating the debunked "suitcase" theory and chooses to believe the explanation of some random dude on youtube over REPUBLICAN election officials in Georgia, just defies rational thinking. But the world is full of people who think the moon landing was a hoax, 9/11 was an inside job, the earth is flat, and aliens are coming in the tail of a comet to take believers to heaven's gate. I don't know how you combat that, other than to just outnumber and outvote them.
