I’d think no, but there’s an interesting pickle some might find themselves

in. On the one hand, some could face the wrath of their constituents and get primaried out, but who is up in 2022 where this would matter?

Most aren’t up for reelection for 4-6 years and, if he’s impeached and essentially banned from government for life, that really is the end of him. They could weather the storm of angry letters and latch onto someone halfway respectable in 2024 and by then this is all ancient history, with Trump a disgraced pariah barking to his dwindling audience of tinfoil hat militia types and no one else.

It would be the ultimate coward’s move for them, but I still think it would be in the best interest of the Republic lomgterm so I’d take the proverbial strange bedfellows.
