What happened last week has been building for years (the constant demonizing, lying, gaslighting, enabling, etc. etc.) and came to a head after months of election fraud nonsense and keeping the base riled up. When it goes to Senate trial, it will be imperative that the prosecutors lay that foundation. It wasn’t just what happened that day (for which he may be able to plausibly deny to the satisfaction of enough republican senator enablers) - it has to be viewed in the entire context of how it even came to that point.
