Bitcoin transactions themselves are both public and tracible. That's part of the security that ensures the transactions actually happen.

The endpoints of the transactions are anonymous ID numbers, and can stay that way forever. The catch is, the each endpoint address has a permanent history of every transaction it was ever involved with. So if @WhitaeMcMasterace has been using his Bitcoin address for the past few years to order Dominos through Uber Eats, and then all of a sudden that same address receives $500,000 from @TotallyNotTheRealStephenMiller, then now you've got a identifiable tracible record.

To be truly anonymous, you'd have to use a Bitcoin address like a burner cellphone. Once, and then never again.
