Worried about a jury letting these guys off the hook. When the Feds charge someone, they almost always get a conviction or a plea agreement. I’m more concerned about the sentencing amounting to a slap on the wrist rather than meaningful time in prison (which IMHO is not only warranted but also necessary to establish an adequate deterrent). These rioters need at least a year in jail. The ones that assaulted officers need more.
