It is sanctioned by the government. They get to wear a uniform and march under the flag of their state and their country. They get paid. All of that was plenty enough for the men who joined the NG in the 1930s that, in states like Virginia, became activated into the US Army in 1940, and fought on the Normandy beaches in 1944.

That isn't enough for them, so they have to join an of the books outfit that intimidates people and advocates the overthrow of the government? Throw them out NOW and if there are any legitimate charges that apply, do that too.

They probably aren't ashamed of themselves but I would bet that if they were still with us today, their grandfathers, the WW2 generation would be.
