Well, I would argue you have to be pretty darn intelligent to get into
Stanford and then Columbia Med School — more intelligent than the average UVa grad (and I’m one of those). I knew this person well and he even co- published research with med school professors, which is unusual.
He was very smart - there is no doubt of that. Unfortunately, after many years, something changed in his brain. This was way before QAnon, and when I say he fell into conspiracy thinking, I mean he began to suspect friends and family were collaborating in some elaborate plot against him.
