Thanks. I really do think its a discussion we need to have. Blowhards li

like Carlson are not going to have a reasonable discussion about it. They are going to scream and cry and make a ton more idiotic statements than good points.

But I hope that reasonable people (and I believe Biden is one of them) will have reasonable discussions about this. At the same time, there has not been a ton of appetite from either Republicans or Democrats in the last 20 years to actually pull back on or reign in the surveillance state that grew from 9/11. Obama and Biden didn't make any real effort to tame the beast over the 8 years they were in office and God knows Trump did noting.

I think well intentioned people see dangerous / harmful ideas and want them to go away. That is awesome and laudable. My fear is that the tools our government now has, and further expansion of those tools, even in the hands of well intentioned people fighting "bad ideas" can be incredibly dangerous.
