At UVA they have been testing the sewage water that comes from the dorms

on a continual basis as a way to early detection of infections in the dorm. Proven that the best way to detect COVID early is in feces. If they detect COVID, they test everyone in the dorm (normal way) and isolate positives. Probably stopped some larger outbreaks last fall.
