It’s a similar discussion with tech equipment, iPhones, iPads, etc.


I get that there are some things that are complex and can’t be easily fixed, but it wouldn’t be surprising if there were items that could be somewhat easily be repaired/swapped out that companies intentionally make difficult to fix without replacing.

I’d think it would be difficult to prove wrongdoing or force changes, even if business practices are questionable. It’s probably something where customers have to vote with their dollars and choose to buy equipment that is more repairable.
