The answer to why the NG remains there is that law enforcement determined that the threat level from our greatest current terrorist threat remains high. Not unlike the security measures that stayed in place long after 9/11, which was because the threat level, from the then greatest terrorist threat we faced, remained high.

Back then almost everyone was eager to see peaceful Muslims denounce the terrorists, take responsibility for their actions, and do what they could to reduce the threat from the terrorists in their midst.

Now, you are in the role in which so many Americans placed Muslims back then. Instead of mischaracterizing this as a dem plot (and I do understand that devoted Trumpies kneejerk to propaganda), rather then a law enforcement assessment, how about directing your anger at the repubs in Congress who continue to perpetrate baseless lies about “Antifa” really driving the dimwit coup on 1/6? There have been 100s of arrests - we know these are terrorists living in the midst of Trump supporters. So how about Trump supporters doing what they all insisted Muslims do 19 years ago, and denounce the terrorism in their midst in no uncertain terms?

Not to mention all the “stop the steal” lies that led to the dimwit coup. Then, maybe the NG can go home as the “righteous right” denounces the violent scumbags in their midst. Maybe even proving that there still is such a thing as a “righteous right”.
