I don't support mandatory sentencing for anything. I would most definitely


ban open carry; I think it is provocative. I'm actually fine with permitted concealed carry. I think if you ban a weapon, lets say ARs just for the hell of it, and you already own one, then keep it at home. If you are caught with one you would be subject to a heavy fine and/or confiscation. If you have other offenses or are a mental basket case or use an illegally owned weapon in a crime, then other criminal charges might be in order. I would also limit magazine capacity and limit your yearly purchase of ammunition.

I would make zero sense to come to your house and take banned weapons, unless you're under warrant for some other reason, and even then subject to rules on search and seizure. Beto O'Rourke was completely full of shit on that one.
