Teaching kids that minorities have been treated poorly or had obstacles in their paths that white kids have not throughout our history is fair and a much different conversation. Even going as far as to explain "white privilege" can be helpful (and it's helped put things in better context for me) although I don't like that phraseology from an aspirational standpoint because it implies an inevitable caste system based on race that I think all of us not Trumpanzee white nationalists want to dismantle, brick-by-brick.

But I'm not aware of anyone being taught you're bad or racist because you're white. I tend to think these grievance types perceive it that way as a defense mechanism, but really what they're hearing is "we think all these things you say and do are hurtful and racist" and they usually are. But some are too prideful and stubborn to take constructive criticism to heart and instead go full Trumptard in response.
