I don't remember much that you say. ;) But Jindal was being majorly touted
when he did the response to Obama's speech in 2009. As I recall he called TARP irresponsible and decried government intervention (same bullshit different guy last night), then was everyone's darling pick for VP if not President at some point. Nikki Haley had her turn in the box (can't recall if she gave a response). Now for a few days it'll be Senator Scott.
Don't get me wrong; it's good that the GOPers have at least a little bit of racial diversity. How those people square it with GOPer white grievance, including spouting the associated myths, I'll never know. But if one of them ends up on a national GOPer ticket in 2024 I'll give you a dollar.
