...fabricate what I've said in the past and then argue against those strawmen. If you want to engage, then stick to the facts, especially about what I've said and didn't say. To point you in the right direction, here are a few clarifications:

1) "Shutdowns", which is the topic at hand in this thread, are not the same as taking "any actions to slow the spread". If there's a "lie" here, it's your conflation of these two things.

2) I never said most COVID deaths are "fake". I said that most of the deaths were of people who were already either very old, very sick and often both. This fact is indisputable.

These folks were already standing near or on death's doorstep. COVID may have shoved them across that threshhold a bit earlier than they would otherwise have crossed it, but characterizing those as "COVID deaths" as if COVID were wiping out hundreds of thousands of healthy Americans is grossly (and intentionally) misleading -- i.e., fake.

This is particularly true in the context of how public policy (e.g., shutdowns) was made to address the issue. As just one example, you don't shut down grade schools because 80-year-old nursing home patients are dying. COVID, in fact, is not a big deal for the vast majority of Americans. To claim that it is a threat is a lie, and to make policy based on that claim is basing policy on a lie.

So, now that I've provided -- again -- my actual conclusions, you can stop arguing against the ones you made up.
