It’s hard to talk to kids about race. I struggled


Honestly what helped me was a movie. I watched a Disney movie on Ruby Bridges with my daughter.

Despite it being Disney, the n word was still there. My first grade daughter was asking why people were being so mean to her.

It’s never easy to talk about race. But difficult conversations are sometimes the most important.
