And in hindsight is easily explained by the fact that Pfizer intentionally cut the doses because it allowed them to ramp production faster and get more people vaccinated more quickly and it didn't show any difference in initial immune response. We now know that the reduced dosage likely led to faster waning immunity. I'm not convinced that wasn't still the right tradeoff to have made..... Get as many people vaccinated with 90% immediate efficacy against covid (and 90%+ efficacy against severe covid for a far longer period of time).... and then solve the waning immunity with a booster.

But yeah, that's no match for something that is ZERO percent effective at preventing covid and *maybe* 40% effective at preventing severe covid... but far more studies would be needed with randomized trials to even prove this.

Only a total fucking moron looks at the Pfizer efficacy data -- which even after 6 months is still more effective than the typical flu vaccine -- and think it doesn't provide a significant health benefit.
