I appreciate that the average voter doesn't get nuance. So, for me.
1) Not Biden's fault. Also temporary, IMO.
2) Related to the pandemic.
3) Same as #1 and #2.
4) He needs to push a progressive agenda MORE! It's popular with the majority. But he should go get the immediate win if he can.
5) Afghanistan was the right thing. The Ds need to stop hand-wringing about it.
6) Yes, that's a problem. Joe needs to be 100% transparent. See Presidents, USA.
7) Yes, he needs to jump on the border question. But it requires funding. See obstruction.
8) Defund is a canard and the President doesn't control police funding.
9) Not articulate....nothing we can do about that.
10) COVID is unprecedented (at least recently) and we have one party sabotaging efforts to tamp it down. It's why we keep stalling on the vaccine.
If I were him I would tout every single day what things are getting better and I would hammer every single day the foot-dragging by the GOP. The Senate is a non-functioning body. Joe needs to go into education mode on that. But mostly, what we're seeing is the impacts of social media, IMO, on democratic norms. Biden REALLY needs to push on the elimination of the filibuster and the implementation of national voting rights legislation right now. You'd think at some point he would get sick of getting his hand slapped every time he reaches across the aisle.
