Both before and after the election Hillary, Hillary's campaign, the fake news media and the federal bureaucracy launched a fraudulent investigation spanning years to cast (and then frame) Trump as a traitor for "colluding" with foreigners to subvert the election. While irony is beside the point in something this massively inappropriate, unjust, illegal and -- to my knowledge -- unprecedented in our political history of general comity following elections, the whole thing was uniquely ironic in that it was Hillary, Hillary's campaign, the fake news media and the bureaucracy who were, in fact, colluding with foreigners to subvert the election, LOLZ.

After the fraudulent investigation and effort to frame eventually fizzled for a complete lack of evidence, which had been obvious from day one, the Dems moved to Plan B of simply removing Trump via a fraudulent impeachment process. Once again irony played a role here as Trump was impeached for actions that he didn't take, but which his political opponents did take, this time in Ukraine.

Post-election, we also enjoyed multiple congressmen contesting the election certification and calling for Trump's impeachment before he was even sworn in. Also lovely were the riots on the streets of Washington, DC, on Inauguration Day, which went largely unpunished, of course, because the rioters were on the acceptable side of the political spectrum.

So, kudos for the initial effort to lay out what happened in 2016 and since, and I'm glad I was able to have the chance to smooth out a few of the rough edges for you.
