Doubling down on the strategy that just lost both Georgia senate seats.

Only thing I can think of is he is trying to cow repubs up for re-election into giving more full throated support to his 2020 conspiracy theories.

It’s funny on it’s face, but this is a howtizer shot at the Constitution. The entire goal of this long term coup attempt - the 2020 election was not even act 1; it was the prelims - is to sow doubts based on false accusations to be used as justification to undermine future elections. Trumpies love to claim partisan state attempts to hand control of elections to partisan legislatures and Trump lackeys is justified by doubts held by so many Americans. Which would be those who believe Venezuela hacked Dominion voting machines for no other reason than that Rudy and Trump said so. Use fantastical baseless accusations to sow false doubts, which then become the justification for the dismantling of American democracy.

Assuming it is not a fake, that’s what it’s about IMO. Trump would happily lead the repubs to a bloodbath in ‘22 if he could, in exchange for sowing outrage over the terrible repub turnout to be used to hand control of elections in key states to partisan legislatures. Ultimately the goal is to have Trumpublican legislatures in key states that will override a Trump loss in those states, and send their own slate of electors no matter the election result.

Thinking in those terms, it’s a little less funny.
