Superintendent alluded to. Two other issues drove this decision. One, the schedule for the week was fucked up to begin with. With students being off Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday no real teaching was going to happen that week. Everyone knew this except for the morons who drew up the calendar. (Btw, having parent teacher conferences before report cards have been finalized is also ridiculous; this could have easily been scheduled for a different week). Two, for whatever reason, RPS has lengthened the school days so much that by the end of the year we will have taught seven additional days than required. There were a lot of teachers and parents at Monday's school board meeting who went off about this issue.

Right now I'm getting ready to cover another class for a teacher who is out again today. I've covered more classes at this point in the school year than ever before and almost all of it is Covid related.

So while I'm pretty exhausted already this school year, I am by no means mentally gone. However, we've already had 2-3 teachers leave for good only after two months of school, not a good start,

Anyway, my wife and I now have a few days off to enjoy our 30th that week so I ain't complaining!!!
