I won't shoot the messenger for linking articles. What I will say is

I find it interesting that these studies in the UK don't seem to align with real world experience with very large groups in the US... such as the entire state of Virginia where unvaccinated people are 5.1x more likely to be infected than vaccinated people. It's hard to explain away that result. Perhaps covid spreads through bad teeth.

And no vaccines are 100% effective preventing transmission. Even the most effective vaccines like measles and polio can have breakthrough cases... but since we have the vast majority of people vaccinated, we're able to almost drive these diseases to extinction in the developed world

And EVERY study shows that vaccines are highly effective at preventing hospitalization... and reducing unnecessary hospitalizations from covid is a worthy public health goal. Having hospitals overrun with covid patients doesn't just impact covid patients.
