If a senior gets ill with the flu, they were not misled about durability of protection if they chose to forego a seasonal booster. The seasonal booster enhances your protection, but is not a guarantee against infection, and dramatically reduces the chances of serious symptoms if you do get infected.
That’s the completely accepted nature of vaccinations against contagious respiratory viruses. Except when it comes to Covid. For some reason that same exact nature of Covid vaccines is an argument against them (to the easily misled, like some Trumpies, or certain minorities unwilling to see the differences between this rollout and historical secret experiments targeting minorities) in spite of the clear stats proving their effectiveness. Down to the county level - outbreaks in low vax counties spread quickly and overwhelm hospitals and ICUs. Outbreaks in high vax counties….don’t.
