If you want me to offer an opinion, yes, I think the crazies in the GOP are


worse than the crazies on the left if we limit the discussion to people actually elected.

That's not really what I'm talking about, though, and wasn't trying to offer any sort of "both sidesism" argument. I'm just talking about the nature of politics in general that people are more worried about crazies of any stripes when their party is in power and therefore more likely to vote for the opposition party -- that's all.
