Election nonsense. It’s not as though there couldn’t be constructive discussions about massive changes to elections in response to a pandemic never seen in the modern age of electioneering. Rules were changed in a hurry, especially after challenges at physical polls were highlighted during the primaries. In normal non-politically hyper charged settings, such changes would be expected. They were made in real time - the pandemic didn’t give us advance warnings to allow us to plan - so of course, an honest retrospective would highlight things that could have been done better, as well as things that worked well and should be incorporated into future elections.

Of course all we focus on is noise, like the Rudy/Sidney show a year ago, or that the pandemic was planned to undermine Trump and the entire world played along. Apparently Ronny thinks S. Africa is playing along now, because all they want is a dem Congress for Christmas in 2022. Somehow nobody rethinks their Covid conspiracy theories even when the disease does surge and is all the rage during ‘21, sinking Biden’s poll numbers, as opposed to “disappearing in 11/20”.

You have to be truly addicted to conspiracy theories to believe these new variants are a political stunt. That thinking used to be fringe. The GOP mainstreamed it in service to a cult hero.
