An obvious initial conclusion is that he doesn't want prison time and doesn't want to cooperate. Therefore, this is just a ploy to try and run out the clock (assuming the GOP takes back the house in '22), and that he'll give a bunch of non-answers and "I don't recall's" and force them to hold him in contempt, then drag that out as long as possible. Is there a different angle to this?

Trumpism setting another great precedent for the rule of law: don't cooperate, delay and defy, run out the clock and wait until a friendly Congress or administration tosses out the investigation or grants a pardon.
