Fair enough. Did some more reading and it turns out he did run some


horrible scams, including one where you'd send him your bills and, for a fee/offering of course, he'd do a "burnt offering" (in which he simply set them fire) to make them go away.

In other words, extracting money from people who were already in money trouble.

"Well at least he wasn't a racist" isn't much of an endorsement, ultimately, I guess.
