...the original variant of TDS, and, like the original COVID variant, NDS was quite severe.

Historians note that NDS later morphed into the Gipper variant, which was more comical than dangerous, and most Americans simply ignored it. The Science pointed to a 49-state landslide as proof. (This was back before The Science became politicized).

Then there was the W variant, which is when things really started to go off the rails. Historians find this period particularly notable as the one in which it became acceptable for whole swaths of the American public holding traditional American values to be blood-libeled as Nazis and Literally Hitler, a "Long W"-symptom that persists to this very day.

And, finally, the VSG variant -- first discovered around 2015 -- just flat-out broke people. Before face diapers were proven by The Science in 2020 to protect people from the VSG variant, some people were wearing oversized pink vaginas on their heads as both a prophylactic and ostentatious means of virtue-signaling. TDS still runs rampant. No vaccine has yet been developed, and historians believe many of those most susceptible would be "anti-vax" even if one were developed.

God help us if the looming DeSantis variant escalates further.
