I am reminded of a more virtuous period of my past when I'd


sit regularly "under the sound of the gospel." One maxim the old preachers were fond of repeating was that when one rejects the truth, he (or she) will "fall for anything."

I've never seen that maxim more illustrated than I've seen during the pandemic.
