...engage in anything affiliated with the fake news media, which is nothing more than the Democrat party's propaganda arm. It astounds me that Republicans still go on these ludicrous gotcha TV shows or do press gaggles moderated and reported almost exclusively by political opponents who basically hate them. In this day and age with social media, they should be going straight to the people and bypassing the filter altogether.

These debates, in particular, have been a joke for decades. The format is bad, and the moderators are unserious and biased. The Candy Crowley example stands out only because it was so obviously egregious, but every debate is conducted on the Dems' terms. In 2020, the Biden-protection debates jumped the shark, and it's good to see the R's reevaluating. Long overdue.

Better debate solutions:
-- Have each side pick a moderator and do dual-moderator debates. Rachel Maddow and Tucker Carlson can ask the questions and spar with the candidates. At least then, the bias is clear and viewers can evaluate accordingly.
-- Allow the candidates themselves to ask questions of each other.
-- Have non-reporters/media personalities moderate the debates. Maybe have a panel of professionals in different fields -- law, business, academia, youths, finance, tech, etc. -- ask questions.
