As one who has shit on Desantis of late for his pandering to the dumber elements of his base, (also known as "the republican base" these days), I have to give credit where credit is due. Except for the surge in testing demand that occurred right before the holidays, covid testing in florida has been quick, easy, efficient and free. My family who lives in Virginia, needed to get tested before visiting us over the holidays and they had a hell of a time finding a place in Va Beach. They ended up paying out of pocket for a test at a minor emergency care clinic.

I started to feel a bit under the weather yesterday, so I took a home covid test which came back negative. I woke up this morning feeling quite a bit worse, so I drove to the local test site to get a rapid and PCR test. They had 4 drive through lanes set up with 3 testing stations per lane... so they were testing 12 cars about every 2-3 minutes. It looked like a fairly long line, but I was in and out in about 15'. Had my rapid results before I got home (negative again). Waiting on PCR results. Starting to think maybe I just have a cold. It's been over 2 years since I've been sick and I forgot how much it sucks to feel like shit.
