If I understand correctly the Mason guy had been there 22 years. Which


means multiple administrations. And probably means Mason benefactor and deep-red Republican Til Hazel was cool with him being counsel. (I admit I don’t KNOW this, just seems likely,)

This seems more of an over-reach than the UVA guy, who’d only been in the job 3 years.

You know, this guy’s “mandate” was around 26,000 votes out of 3.3M cast, around .8%, he might be out over his skis a tad.
