I don't think anyone is arguing you should go out and get COVID instead of a vax since every study seems to say you're even better off with a vax and natural immunity than just natural immunity alone. And this study was based on natural immunity from Delta and before, so we have no idea if those numbers will hold up if your natural immunity comes from Omicron.

The "go out and get COVID instead" just seems to be a false narrative pushed by those wanting to continue pushing vax and other mandates, as well as "making the unvaxxed life as uncomfortable as possible" crowd. I've yet to see anyone of note suggest heading to your nearest COVID party like chicken pox. At most, if you're young and healthy, and thus relatively at low risk, still unvaxxed but you've got natural immunity, here's more science to factor into your decision on whether to now get vaccinated and/or a booster.
