As I mentioned here yesterday or the day before, my younger sister is in hospital with covid complications. She got Covid in late December and had been battling near-total exhaustion and incessant coughing until Saturday when she started getting chest pains. She went to urgent care and they told her to get to the ER. So I took her. They found that she had Flu A and B as well as a pulmonary embolism. In addition, she still tested positive for covid (I'm assuming from a PCR test which picks up trace amounts of virus)

She has several complicating issues. Weight, RA, and a compromised immune system as the result of her leukemia and RA maintenance treatments. She 's fully vaxed.

Today, she got a better report.

In her words:
"Talked to the NP. Ultrasound results were good for lungs and heart. Few minor clots in legs that will be addressed with Eliquis blood thinner (yet another TV drug)

Discharge possible tomorrow if all goes well.

Feeling pretty good. Occasional cough, not too tired. Still have appetite. I'm off all IV meds.

She thanked me for being vaccinated. Said unvaccinated others with all my conditions are in ICU."

Please take Covid seriously. It doesn't give a shit about you or your feelings.
