I turned my nose up to Howard for decades. I have a tendency to do

That with anything that suddenly becomes the “it thing”. Truth is, I’d barely listened to Howard during all that time. Like Plano, I think there is no better interviewer in the entertainment industry. I also like the “potty humor” just fine, but I enjoy screaming at my radio when I think something’s stupid just as much.

This week they were railing on the NFL OT rule, saying simply that whoever wins the toss wins the game. Now, that may have been true in the KC/Buffalo game, given how gassed the defenses and hot the QBs were. But in a 10 minute back and forth covering all kinds of things, including differences with the college game, nobody mentioned that very recently the pro rule changed so that it is NOT true that the coin toss winner always wins. They have to score a TD, or the other team gets a shot (unless they won already on a defensive score).

It pissed me off for some reason that nobody even mentioned that.
