Interesting distinction between acceptable and legal.

A lot of concern over freedom of speech. Depending on where justices live, I presume protests are legal. I assume protests could also get out of hand and easily cross the line to illegal. How would people feel if gun toting crowds went to a judge’s residence (or office) to protest, even if they were in a place where that’s allowed? We saw something like that in Michigan if I recall.

Acceptable is something else. The price there would be political. By turning off key voters. In a year like this, with uncertainty and chaos underlying pretty much everything, that could be more impactful than opposition to the decision itself. You can be sure the rw media will try to paint it in a very negative, chaotic light. Lw media might well resurrect “mostly peaceful”.
