They're destroying the reputation and authority of the Supreme Court.

For the second time in 4 days, the majority opinion of the court was not only objected to by a large percentage of the country, but once again, even conservative legal scholars labeled the arguments cited in the majority opinion as "intellectually dishonest" and "legally unfounded and unreasonable". It has been pointed out, by both conservative legal scholars and fellow Supreme Court justices, that Gorsuch incorrectly characterized the coach's prayers as personal and private, and focused on only 3 of the games after which the coach prayed, ignoring the others, including those in which large numbers of fans and local legislators were encouraged to participate. Multiple parents stated their children participated because they were afraid of being ostracized for not doing so.

It's one thing to disagree with a decision or the interpretation of the case law, but, it's a major problem when the foundational arguments cited in the majority opinion are publicly described as "dishonest" and "ridiculous". That completely undermines the authority of the court.
