In the Dobbs case, if you read Roberts’ concurring opinion, he would have decided in favor of MS without overturning Roe. Kavanaugh’s concurrence was still to the left of the other 4, in that he made clear that he would not apply it to other rights based on privacy. So, he is moderate enough to lessen fears of a parade of lost individual rights, but not quite enough in this case to prevent Roe from being overturned.
