...nominating and electing someone this utterly incompetent in literally every way. Americans can forgive a lot, but the President needs to be at least present and accounted for, not a basement dummy.

The Dems and media successfully hid Biden during the campaign and mercilessly libeled Trump just enough to get him across the finish line, but it's a lot easier during a campaign to hide a candidate while blaming the other guy than it is as president when the buck stops on your desk. In addition, while the Fake News Media can cover for a lot, it can't cover for $6 gas and skyrocketing food prices. That is beyond their powers of obfuscation -- it's just too visible, and the old tricks don't work. Gas and hamburger prices will never be racist no matter how loudly you yell it. And blaming COVID on Trump was always going to backfire longer term.

In hindsight, losing those two GA senate seats was a blessing in disguise for the Reps, as the Dems now own it all, and no one can point the finger at the "obstructionist Rep-controlled Senate" like they try to point the finger at The Unvaccinated or Putin. Weird how things work out sometimes in politics.
