It's fair and understandable to argue the number should be higher. I might

not agree with you, but that's at least a valid position and approach. Work and elect people that agree with you to change those numbers.

Ignoring existing laws, being derelict in your duty to protect the border, fighting against the efforts to correct for your failures (sanctuary cities/states, stopping deportations, etc.), etc. is not.
