As far as I know, no state has a law against "not being pregnant."

In the gun example:

1. Illinois resident buys a gun in Indiana - Illinois can't charge that resident with any crime for purchasing the gun because in Indiana, it's legal for that person to buy the gun.

2. Illinois resident returns to Illinois but doesn't have a FOID card - Illinois can charge the person - not for buying the gun, but for breaking the law by being in Illinois in possession of a gun without a FOID card.

For that to work as an analogy for abortion, it would have to be illegal in State A (the Illinois-equivalent) for a person to *not be pregnant* after getting an abortion in State B (the Indiana-equivalent).  Here's how your analogy would have to play out:

1. State A resident gets an abortion in State B - State A can't charge that resident with any crime for getting the abortion because in State B, it's legal for that person to get an abortion

2. State A resident returns to State A but is no longer pregnant - State A can charge the person - not for getting the abortion but for breaking the law by being in State A and not being pregnant.

Of course that's ridiculous.
