It is fair, and the council of economic folks hasn’t called it yet,


But if they don’t make that call, it will be a first since 1948 after 2 consecutive qtrs of declining GDP.

So, it might be fair to push back, but I don’t really see the point. 2 consecutive qtrs of gdp decline is certainly a generally accepted definition, so who cares? If we can get through this without a very hard landing with job losses, great, but the labor market probably has to cool to really bring inflation down.

What’s wrong with a “jobful recession” every now and again?
