It’s you who is telling a fairy tale by denying there wasn’t a seismic shift in the two parties in the mid-Twentieth Century; by ignoring that the Republicans’ Southern Strategy (handy link below) successfully drew millions of southern white bigots away from the Ds to the Rs; and by strongly implying that current Dems have to take responsibility for slavery and Jim Crow while Republicans are somehow the real social justice warriors, the Great Liberators of Black people. What utter bullshit. Look again at Boca’s diagram of presidential election results and what caused the shift. You’d have to be an idiot not to understand what it’s telling you.
