TomK seems to be a big believer in the Great Replacement Theory. People are right to compare that to Nazism, among other historical racist and anti semitic movements. Ryno posted something basically suggesting that he’s a Lindbergh America First guy - one hopes he’s just trolling with that, because America First was openly white nationalist. More than I think I realized before seeing the Burns documentary. Lindbergh said it out loud, clearly recorded: our priority as a country is to protect European white races - we should be indifferent to the outcome of conflict between France, Germany, and England, since they’re all blue blooded Northern European whites, as he defined it.

Finally, shortly before Pearl, the country started to turn on Lindbergh, much of it seeing the nazism in his America First bullshit. America First was pure white nationalism, not American nationalism.

I personally think there are undeniable similarities between Lindbergh’s movement and Trumpism. The disturbing reality is - Trumpism seems to have more devotees as a % of American voters than Lindy ever could have dreamed of. That’s ominous, if democracy is your thing. Certainly imo.
